Several years ago an ex bf of mine took me to hot yoga for a date. If I can remember correctly, it was the first "activity date" we had done and I absolutely loved it.
After engaging in my first Yoga experience, I knew I wanted to go back and I wanted to get just as hot and sweaty as I did the first time I did it. It's now been probably over 6 years since my "yoga vow" and I'm just NOW headed back to Yoga.
After the prompting of a friend, I bought myself a yoga mat and agreed to sweat my life away in a late night session of ...you guessed it... HOT YOGA.
Even though I was half way dying, out of breathe, and in pain... I was just as in love with the experience as I was the first time I did it! That brought me to deciding to go back for a second consecutive day and well...we'll see how long this lasts.
Outside of my personal commitment or lack thereof to exercise, for anyone interested in trying this form of relaxation and exercise, I highly recommend you do so.
If you aren't super sure about the experience and you live in America, I suggest you try CorePower Yoga!
This company has locations in several states around the US AND they offer a consecutive week for FREE! CorePower Yoga gives you the opportunity to test out their classes, studios, and different locations with no strings attached and honestly it's wonderful.
Not only is this free week a great advantage, but if and when you do sign up for a class package, you can use your pass at any of their locations in the US if you happen to travel.
**Disclaimer- this post is not sponsored. I just really love the way they do business and the classes as a whole. On top of that, there's a huge range of what kind of Yoga experience you want to have and the times they're offered -so there's never really an excuse not to go!
I'll keep you all updated on my Yoga-ventures and let you know if I stick with it, but for now, here are 8 benefits of practicing yoga!
Improved respiration, energy and vitality
Prevents cartilage and joint breakdown
Drains your lymphs and boosts immunity
Ups your heart rate
Drops your blood pressure
Helps you focus and build awareness for internal transformation
Relaxes your system
Releases tension
P.S. Drink LOTS AND LOTS OF WATER... You'll need it to sweat out those toxins :)
