When visiting the heart of downtown Atlanta there's always much to see. Though for those on a quick trip or in town for business...you may be wondering where to stay in Atlanta.
As it's super important to have a convenient yet comfortable hotel in all the fun, for us, the one and only Ritz-Carlton Atlanta is the place to be - especially if luxury and ease of access are two things you're looking for.
We spent one night at the hotel and here's why we think it's perfect for a quick stay!
Check In ( begins at 3:00 pm)
Upon arrival, guests are greeted by the charming staff who leads you to check in. At check in, you will receive your room keys and a lovely glass of champagne (if your day was long, this drink is a pleasant pick me up)!
The lobby is lined with elegant marble floors and it's wide open with a grand staircase adjacent to the beautiful Lumen bar (filled with velvet booths and intimate double tables). They even have check in for kids and special additions if you're travelling as a family.
The Room
For us, the room is everything when it comes to a great stay. At the Ritz, our room was clean and allowed enough space for both lounging and sleeping. There is the iconic lavender couch, king-sized bed, and simple amenities that make the stay super comfortable.
Unfortunately, our room did not come with a robe, but it could be due to Covid as a means to limit items around for people to touch.
Of course, room service is available where delivery is sooo fast (this is great for being on the go). There is a fully stocked honor bar, laundry services, and business services, all of which make the stay more efficient.
In House Dining
Outside of room service, The Ritz ATL is home to AG modern steakhouse, Lumen Bar (mentioned earlier), and Jittery Joe’s coffee shop! Nothing is really hard to find in the hotel which adds to the convenience level of staying there. There's also the club level lounge that offers breakfast, light snacks, hors d'oeuvres, beverages, and sweets!
AG Modern Steakhouse plays on the vintage look with a hint of modernity. While we didn't eat here, the food is supposed to be incredible (this restaurant has definitely been added to the list of places to go)!
Lumen Bar is the epitome of grand sophistication and even has live music on Friday - Saturday beginning at 6:30 pm. We were able to catch a band and it truly added to the unique vibe of the hotel.
Check Out & Rating
Luckily the hotel has a late check out of 12 pm! After a night on the town or an early business meeting, having the extra hour is ah-mazing and it gives some wiggle room to catch the coffee shop!
Hosts at the lobby do ask that guests return the room keys. They also make sure the last encounter with them at check out completes the stay with everything you hoped for and more. The service is impeccable!
Though the Ritz is already known as a 5-star hotel, we should re-iterate that the Ritz-Carlton Atlanta will not disappoint (minus the robe). Apart from the ideal downtown location, the Ritz ATL really is perfect for anyone on a quick trip or staycation in Atlanta!
